Competition for coins on Proxibid is as keen as ever, not only among bidders but also among auctioneers, with 4 more houses added to our rolls of companies meeting baseline requirements for selling numismatic items.
The four houses–Grubaugh, Massart, Lippard Auction/United Country and Hidden Treasures–bring Proxiblog’s total Honor Roll companies to more than two dozen … and counting.
Grubaugh Auction Service with a 12% buyer’s fee led the pack here to place 7th on our updated rankings (see right sidebar).
Again these houses prove that a 15% or lower buyer’s fee not only helps defray Proxibid’s fees but also sparks more competition among bidders.
If your house meets the criteria, please let us know. We require a 15% or lower buyer’s fee, clear and expandable pictures of obverse and reverse, and proactive policies about coins in the spirit of the National Auctioneers Association and American Numismatic Association codes of ethics.
